Active Care has been established as the premier orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation facility in the Bay area. The company was founded in 1989 by renowned physical therapist, Lisa Giannone. Over the past 20+ years Giannone has developed and refined the Active Care philosophy of focused, exercise-based physical therapy. Active Care has become an industry leader by proving patients can get back to their desired physical activities through Active Care’s unique level of care and conditioning. Patients, many of whom travel from all over Northern California to see Lisa and Active Care’s accomplished staff, continually remark on Active Care’s “different approach.” With its location in San Francisco, Active Care has had the opportunity to develop strong relationships with a number of professional athletic organizations including the San Francisco Ballet, members of the San Francisco 49ers, as well as numerous local and world-renown professional athletes.
