Active Connections CLG - Transforming Lives Through Adventure Active Connections CLG is Ireland’s leading activity-based intervention service, driven by our mission to ‘Transform Lives Through Adventure.’ In 2024 alone, we have empowered over 800 young people across Ireland, helping them overcome adversity and build brighter futures. As a registered charity (RCN: 20201356), we operate as a not-for-profit, pouring passion and purpose into creating transformative opportunities for those who need it most. Why the Outdoors? Since our inception, we’ve been guided by a simple yet powerful belief: the outdoors is a dynamic and impactful environment where individuals can learn, grow, and thrive. Our Services Include: • Therapeutic Services – New Trails: A 1:1 activity-based intervention service supporting participants and their families. By blending adventure activities with brief solution-focused coaching, we empower young people to identify and overcome challenges, fostering independence and responsibility. • The Embers Programme: Beginning in 2019, the Embers Programme is designed for young people living with additional challenges such as physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or neurodiverse diagnoses like autism. In 2024, so far, Embers has supported over 400 children, adults, and families by making outdoor activities accessible and inclusive. Through 1:1 support in a safe, non-judgmental environment, we help remove barriers and open doors to transformative outdoor experiences. • Corporate Development/Team Building Programmes: Profits from these sessions directly fund our youth programmes, helping us make a greater impact where it’s needed most.
