About Active Scandinavia
Active Scandinavia was founded in 2011 as Bike Sweden. First, it was little more than a one man operation and a few dozen bikes. Over the years it has quickly grown to several hundred bikes, and a summer peak of over 15 staff. Shortly after, guided sightseeing tours have been added, for tourists from all over the world to explore Stockholm by bike. The offer ranged from public tours with daily start options to private, tailor-made tours in multiple languages. Two years later the portfolio was extended again - with self-guided bike tours in and around Stockholm. Additionally a large offer for bike tours to Europe has been added. In 2016, Bike Sweden was purchased by Eurofun Touristik, Europe's largest cycle-tourism company, with operations in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Holland and Denmark. In 2020 the company decided to extend its portfolio not only with cycling holidays, but also other activities, such as walking holidays and tours for families. As it is now no longer only about biking it was naturally to change the company name from Bike Sweden to Active Scandinavia. New name, same company, same excellent service, with a wider range of active holidays! Today, the company focuses on a diversified range of active holidays in Scandinavia and Europe.
