The Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School District is located between the Santa Clarita Valley and the Antelope Valley. Established in 1881, our district is one of the oldest districts in the state of California. We proudly serve students over a 200-square-mile radius. Acton-Agua Dulce USD provides innovative programs in support of student achievement with diverse offerings such as Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), Antelope Valley College (AVC), and Dual Enrollment offerings for our high school students, Paxton/Patterson- College and Career Ready Lab, and a Makerspace innovate lab. In addition, AADUSD’s student enrollment is a testament to new signature programs, a high caliber of teachers, and a commitment to excellence led by a strong, close-knit community. As we continue to accelerate learning for all students, AADUSD is committed to our MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) framework. Our MTSS efforts provide academic and behavioral strategies for students. Our schools have taken on a school-wide approach in response to varying student needs, including ongoing data collection, assessments, and parental involvement. AADUSD was recently awarded the Mental Health Professional Demonstration grant through the U.S. Department of Education. The scope of work supports strategies to address school mental health workforce shortages through efforts that include: growing your own programs, placing supervised interns and practicum students in high-needs schools to increase access to services, facilitating increased training for mental health professionals and other key staff to increase the capacity to identify and address mental health concerns with youth.
