Specialist Independent Acoustics & IT Consultancy: Acustica is a specialist independent acoustics and IT consultancy which focuses on all aspects of environmental noise management. Founded in 2005, we have 30 years of experience in all aspects of room acoustics, noise control and noise impact assessments. We have extensive expertise in planning, enactment and delivery of all aspects of the EU directive 2002/49/EC relating to the assessment and management of environmental noise, commonly referred to as the Environmental Noise Directive (END). Projects have covered the entire life cycle of END requirements from the development of environmental noise policy options and Guidance, through design of technical methods and specifications, leading research into calculation methodologies and uncertainty, programme and project management, and the delivery of strategic noise maps and noise action plans. We also provide key technical support services to larger multi-disciplinary organisations requiring niche noise modelling skills or experienced project management to ensure delivery of noise impact assessments and mapping projects. We aim to assist clients and stakeholders in attainment of their goals, and to become partner of choice in the area of environmental noise management.
