Acutus loves a good problem. We’re a company that thrives on complexity, on finding inobvious solutions and on thoughtful change. Identifying a better way of doing business is never black or white: our job is to interpret shades of grey. And we do so with laser-sharp clarity. Ours is a company with 40+ years of management and strategy consulting experience at its core. We have a reputation for being “a safe pair of hands”. Our service brings focus, structure, fresh perspectives and a proven record of success in solving problems. Our founders and directors, Kevin Altermatt and Darren McGowan, were both originally engineers but soon applied their analytical minds to strategic consultancy. They’ve worked symbiotically together for over 20 years having mirrored one another’s careers – quite deliberately – through renowned firms such as A.T. Kearney, Corporate Value Associates and KPMG, and co-founding Pacific Strategy Partners along the way. Acutus is a natural evolution of their partnership and a culmination of their combined expertise to date. Over the years, our founders have assisted mining and building firms, farming and agriculture industries, educational institutions and top 20 ASX companies, among others, in finding positive paths forward. No matter the sector, our elite management team and senior analysts are immersed and hands on with every single client, devoting as much time and wisdom as a problem demands. Our approach is to care for a business and invest ourselves in it as if it were our own. We deliver solutions for responsible growth through honesty, curiosity and pragmatism. Kevin, Darren and the wider Acutus team are driven by three things; challenging problems, interesting clients and working alongside complementary colleagues.
