L’ADAPEI Charente est une association fondée en 1962 par des parents d’enfants en situation de handicap. Elle poursuit un double objectif : la protection des droits des personnes en situation de handicap mental ou psychique et leur accompagnement au quotidien avec le concours de professionnels compétents. Implantée sur tout le département charentais, l'ADAPEI Charente accueille près de 1200 personnes en situation de handicap et gère 28 établissements et services sociaux et médico-sociaux (ESMS), répartis en trois pôles d’activités : - Pôle Travail Adapté : composé d’une EA et de 5 ESAT. - Pôle Enfance : composé d’un CAMSP, d’un SESSAD et de deux IME. - Pôle Hébergement : composé d’une MAS, d’un FAM, d’un SAVS, de 4 SAJ, de 6 SAJH et de 5 FHT. L'association, en partenariat avec d'autres organismes du secteur médico-social, propose également des services connexes - Les plateformes de services ADAPEI Charente : - La PEA - Plateforme emploi accompagné - Le PCPE - Le pôle de compétences et de prestations externalisées - Le PCO TND - Plateforme d'orientation et de coordination des troubles du neuro développement - L'Habitat inclusif - L'accueil familial - le SAVS
