Sidney Golub decided to found his own company in 1987 when he observed a glaring need in the marketplace for a better service for unclaimed funds recovery from US govt accounts. Over ten years Mr. Golub built Adar Group from a 4 employee start-up into a firm staffing 35 unclaimed funds recovery specialists, in the process becoming the largest unclaimed funds recovery service firm in the US and United Kingdom. Consistent and diligent tracking of insolvency data over the more than 20 years (both in the US and the UK) provides Adar with the most comprehensive unclaimed funds database in existence, and proves a valuable source for uncovering assets for our clients on an ongoing basis. United Kingdom Bureaucracy and red tape stonewalled Adar's initial forays into the UK but Mr. Golub was determined to change the way business was done there. In 1992, at no small cost and without the security that there would be a positive result, Mr. Golub engaged prestigious British Counsel, high powered public relations people and insolvency professionals. After 2 years of meetings, agreements and trial runs Adar was successful in convincing the British Department of Trade and Industry to open their records of unclaimed funds. After being vetted at the highest levels of the British government (Ministerial, DTI) Adar became the first non-governmental entity to gain access to these files. Since then, the firm has been successfully recovering funds for their clients in the UK, and total distributions have been in the millions of pounds Sterling. Adar's client list includes many of the largest UK banks and Limited companies, and are unmatched for comprehensiveness of data, quality of service and cost effectiveness.
