About ADD Studio

ADD Studio is a Bucharest based group of architects and urban planners whose aim is to operate within the fields of 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧, all rooted in environmentally friendly methods of designing. 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: - legal and technical advice and consultation for architectural projects and project development; - specialized studies: light studies, urban and contextual studies, refurbishment potential studies; - master planning; - 3D imagery (3D rendering, 3D plans, animation, 360° tools) for real estate, offices, commercial and other architectural project. Our goal is to implement both passive and active techniques in order to achieve energy efficiency within all our projects, and at the same time proposing viable solutions to the major challenges of the contemporary city. In order to do so, we are developing new types of architectural projects, based on the Passive House principles, a new type of performance-based energy construction. By implementing the five main 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 principles in our day-to-day designing, our team is aiming to: - integrate the occupants' behavior in the design process, from the concept phase until building is put in use; - emphasize the benefits of a Passive House beyond energy cost efficiency, regarding comfort of living in matters of temperature and light; - integrate them in all building typologies, not only residential, but also commercial, educational, business sector and other architectural programs.
