About Adelaide Benevolent Society Inc
Adelaide Benevolent Society Inc was established in 1849 and is the oldest charity in South Australia. We have a strong history of being a 'friend' to those in need and believe in the face of financial hardship, the provision of stable and affordable rental housing is fundamental and life changing. We provide housing to around 360 families and individuals. In addition to rental housing, we also fund a small grant program, The Bill Cossey AM Grant Program, and provide affordable holiday rentals for those who would otherwise be unable to afford a holiday. We are an independent charity registered with the ACNC. All donations to Adelaide Benevolent Society are tax deductible.
