Advanced Coating Technologies (ACT) is one of the country’s leading service providers of surface coating technologies. The coatings we provide significantly improve the durability, longevity, and performance of molds, tools, and precision components made from metal and plastics. ACT is located in Valencia, CA and opened its doors in 2006. Renowned scientist Dr. Andreas Schuetze co-founded the company and sold it in 2014 to its current CEO Rakesh Aghi. Since selling off the organization, Dr. Schuetze has rejoined the organization in 2017 as our Vice President of Technology. He's currently leading our state-of-the-art coating technologies facility. We have acquired several new PD2i machines that are in operation to provide PVD, CrN, TiN, Magnetron Sputtering with MoS2, Hard, and DLC coatings; our new machines can also perform several combinations of coatings that span greater than 40 variations. We have the capacity to perform custom coatings tailored to each individual need across virtually any industry including aircraft & aerospace, medical & dental, cutting tools, defense/military, automotive, arms/weapons, plastics & molds, food, dies/punches, and many more. Moreover, we are one of the very few providers in the West Coast to maintain a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and ISO 9001 Certificate.
