At Advanced Control Systems, LLC (ACS), we specialize in customer-driven and value added solutions for industrial automation and control. Female-owned and local to Pittsburgh, PA, ACS offers consulting, contract and project services. We ensure customer satisfaction through building individual relationships with each of our customers, providing expert service and support, working alongside the customer to develop customized solutions, offering whole and individual process integration and adapting to customer needs. One of our founding principles is the pursuit of sustainable engineering practices. We offer additional sustainable consulting and solutions services and believe that automation and technology are integral in the accessibility and integration of sustainable practices. Achieving sustainability is as simple as recycling but can be as integrated as supply chain vetting or localized renewable power generation. It is our goal to provide each customer with the capabilities and resources to utilize automation, control and process engineering to better their bottom line, but not be held hostage by inadequate and antiquated technology. About our founder and owner: Eilaina Velan graduated from The University of Pittsburgh, Swanson School of Engineering with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. During her time in college, she focused on sustainability and entrepreneurship. After graduation, she spent two years as a chemical and process engineer at a local company that develops and builds supercritical carbon dioxide extraction and energy equipment. While there, she gained strategic and specialized knowledge of sCO2 hemp extraction and process engineering. Moreover, she utilized her education to learn and develop automation systems in respect to GAMP5 and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance standards. Since departing her job and founding ACS, Eilaina has also worked on the automation of steel furnaces with a large, international steel company.
