Advanced Education Research & Development Fund or AERDF (sounds like air-diff) is a national nonprofit that harnesses the power of research and development (R&D) to unlock scientific breakthroughs and deliver research-backed solutions to pressing teaching and learning challenges. How can we apply executive function skill development to further math success, or help assessment move at the speed of teaching, or end illiteracy or reimagine teaching and learning for the age of AI? These are the missions of AERDF's current four programs – EF+Math, Assessment for Good, Reading Reimagined, and AugmentED. AERDF’s R&D programs produce research insights that can be applied across PreK-12 education, technical capabilities that can be embedded in products and practices, and prototypes that offer adaptable solutions to foster student growth – all helping to catalyze transformative improvements in teaching and learning.
