Advanced Spindle Technology, LLC was founded to address a critical need in the manufacturing market for expert and timely spindle repair. There are very few companies in existence who are truly competent to fully analyze and repair precision machine spindles and even fewer still who can diagnose and correct an inherent problem. Our business model differs from that of many of our competitors. We incorporate state-of-the-art, sophisticated equipment combined with years of know-how to properly return a precision machine spindle to “like new” working order. Key to this process is the depth of knowledge to do accurate failure analysis that determines why a spindle failed and what needs to be done to correct the problem. At AST, our trained personnel have backgrounds in super precision bearing design and application as well as machine tool engineering. From this type of expertise, we are able to evaluate if a spindle is adequate to do the job it is being asked to perform or if changes need to be made to make it more capable or more robust. Our capabilities also extend to repairing and refurbishing parts in-house. From restoring an arbor bearing journal by undergrinding and plating to redesigning and making new components, our technicians are uniquely trained to handle the job.
