About Advancing Women in Entrepreneurship (AWE)
Our primary mission is to empower members to pursue their passions in entrepreneurship and to foster leadership by promoting positive discussion and mentorship for those interested in becoming future female founders. What do our members do? General Members: Our organization meets every Wednesday at 6pm to talk about AWE initiatives. A general member will attend these meetings when possible as well as the many exciting AWE events that happen on campus. Some of our members will participate in a study away program in Cincinnati and San Francisco, visiting female entrepreneurs. Marketing Committee: Our marketing committee is comprised of dedicated members who work on marketing initiatives for AWE. If you are passionate about marketing, sales, communications, strategic decisions, and interacting with others, this could be the perfect home for you in AWE. Advocacy Committee: Our advocacy committee encompasses passionate members who love working with people and building relationships. This committee focuses on community outreach, recruitment, diversity inclusion, networking, and alumni relations. If this sounds like you, you could thrive in this committee. Editing Committee: Our editing committee constitutes hard working, creative, and adaptable members who have interests in graphic design, photography, and creative writing.
