About Adventure Medic
Adventure Medic is a free online wilderness, expedition, travel and humanitarian medicine magazine. We began in a 2012 as a free publication to encourage healthcare professionals to pursue interesting, charitable or unusual paths through medicine. We are committed to being not-for-profit and free to our users, and we sustain ourselves through advertising. Adventure Medic now has contributors from all over the globe, and acts as a resource hub for the adventure medicine community. Adventure Medic is affiliated with the Wilderness Medicine Society and the American Academy of Wilderness Medicine. We are strong supporters of the International Porter Protection Group. Our Patron is Professor N. Stuart Harris, Chief of the Division of Wilderness Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
