About Adventure Therapy

As a registered charity, Adventure Therapy exists to improve the emotional and physical wellbeing of children, young people and adults with unique health conditions, impairments or limitations, through outdoor and adventure-led activities. This means that we support people with mental health conditions, neurodevelopmental disorders, physical disability, life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses and life changing conditions. We make a positive difference in challenging and complex lives. Our activities strengthen resilience, improve vitality and self-esteem, provide a sense of purpose and accomplishment, help people to form friendships and create special memories for families. We accept private referrals, from a parent, grandparent or guardian and through our professional referral partners, including he NHS, Social Services, private healthcare specialists, other charities, schools or colleges (as part of SEND), councils and community organisations. There are several ways you can get involved, support Adventure Therapy and importantly, be an integral part of our mission to change lives through adventure.
