About Advice4schools
• Providing consultancy and training in Education leadership, governance, change management, project management, financial and business management. • Clients include individual and cluster primary and secondary schools, Local Authorities, the National College for Leadership in Schools and Children’s Services Lincoln University, University of London and various training and consultancy companies. Dorset County Council commissioned me to roll-out their Performance Management for Support Staff; I still provide revision sessions to Dorset schools on this subject. I have been employed by Bristol City Council, through the School Improvement Section to work with Governors in two schools to develop their strategic and financial management. I have reviewed the administrative deployment of staff in a number of schools. I am commissioned by individual schools to provide customised, in-house CPD and consultancy. • Recently contracted by SERCO to write the ICT Module for the NCSL’s Virtual School. I was a member of the SERCO writing team commissioned by the National College to develop the Advanced Diploma of School Business Management (ADSBM), having previously been involved in the development of the Diploma in School Business Management (DSBM). I am a facilitator and assessor for DSBM and ADSBM. I facilitate the National College’s programme to introduce external candidates to the role of School Business Management. I was a member of the research team commissioned by the National College and the DfES to continue the longitudinal study “The Baseline Study in School Business Management”, I have been the editor of a termly magazine for School Business Managers. • Just completed a long term contract to project manage the setting up of two Academies which open in September 2010.
