Candace O’Brien is the founder and President of Advocates for Surrogacy. Candace is an attorney who has dedicated the past 15 years to being an advocate for individuals and couples seeking to build families through adoption and surrogacy regardless of their race, sexual orientation, marital status or gender. She understands the complexities of the laws involved and she is adept at managing the team who will be in place for your surrogacy arrangement. We approach each client’s surrogacy journey on an individualized basis. These are not just some hollow buzz words thrown out to fill space on a page. This is really the difference that we offer clients. It starts from the time a prospective client seeks initial consultation with Candace. At this point, prospective parents often have many questions about the process. Candace takes the time to answer all your questions and address any concerns you may have whether it takes one or several conversations. Once on board you will continue to work directly with Candace. Advocates for Surrogacy is a boutique agency BUT that does not mean, less service. In our case it means that you are being guided through the entire process by a pro and not handed off to less experienced staff once on board. Your experience is not going to be one of limited access to management or one in which management does often do not have their fingers on the day to day details of your surrogacy arrangement. Advocates for Surrogacy in not a “matching” agency – we consider ourselves to be the project manager for the entire process from matching to legal assessment, medical process, pregnancy, delivery and parental rights. When it comes to building the team for your particular arrangement, we will ensure that you have experienced experts working on your behalf including, psychologists, lawyers, counselors and medical professionals.
