About ae design partnership

ae design is an urban design, planning and architectural practice. We design places, buildings and spaces. Spearheaded by Rohan Dickson our team of urban designers, planners and architects has extensive experience with a central philosophy of meeting each client’s individual needs through a design-oriented focus. All projects are underpinned by solid financial feasibility studies and sensitivity to environmental, social and cultural requirements. Client needs are addressed by thorough analysis of each project’s aims and it’s development context, both social and economic. EXPERIENCE Our experience covers preparing feasibility studies, the development of urban strategies for the regeneration of town centres, new town centres, new communities and neighbourhoods, urban infill, tourist destinations, employment corridors and places, visual analysis and impact studies as well as the design of commercial and retail premises, residential accommodation, industrial complexes, cultural institutions, aged care facilities and civic spaces. EXPERTISE • Developing policy direction, planning strategies and providing significant design input into the future development of both public and private sector projects. • Considerable range and depth of experience in urban planning matters, with a strong track record of demonstrating successful delivery of complex projects. • Design and management of major urban design projects and the preparation of development controls and guidelines for specific projects that integrate economic, social/cultural and environmental considerations. • Design and management of architectural projects, in close collaboration with experts and consultants. • Design reviews on behalf of applicants as well as for Councils on their Independent Hearing and Assessment Panels and Design Advisory Excellence Panels.
