MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING The dog-human relationship is now at the core of our lives. The physical, emotional and mental balance of our animal friends is highly dependent on how we manage the relationship with them. We must do our best to understand that and to develop tools to improve it. OPEN MIND AND HEART My approach incorporates different methods of working with dogs, according to the latest research in canine education, nutrition, and neuroscience. The goal is to promote animal well-being and reach an outstanding relationship between dogs and humans. MOTIVATIONAL Many classical schools of dog training were based (and some still rely) on punishment, obligation and frustration of the animal. AEC proposes an approach based on positive reinforcement, enhancing dog’s motivation and requesting her/his cooperation, respecting her/his response time and the specific needs that each situation requires. Every type of coercion is considered inappropriate and counterproductive for emotional stability and the mental health of the dog, which is why Marco Adda DOES NOT USE any method of coercion. In this way WE overturns the concept of "obedience" to that of "collaboration" between the dog and her/his human friend. HOLISTIC The holistic aspect concerns two basic aspects, the group and the individual. On the level of the group, if one considers the behavior of each animal, human or non-human as a result of internal relations to a group or herd, then no behavior can be fully understood if you do not look at the complexity of these relationships. AEC investigates this complexity, trying to identify the critical points of the relationship between dogs and humans.
