With Aeerstatica we go up to where the wind is, using a stable platform: A tethered rigid airship with contra-rotating rotors. Power is transmitted along the tethering cable. Now, that the rotors are away from the ground, more constant wind brings a better energy harvest. Vortices are blown away and don´t cause noise on the ground. The greater distance reduces flickering shadows. Birds can fly underneath. The efficiency of our Aeerstatica Energy Airships is 40% above the current standard with cost of only less then 0,03 EUR per kWh.
