L’obiettivo assegnato ad AFIL consiste nel promuovere e agevolare la ricerca e l’innovazione sulle tecnologie e pratiche abilitanti per il settore manifatturiero per sostenere e sviluppare la leadership e la competitività del manifatturiero lombardo, attraverso: - La creazione di una COMUNITA’ STABILE collegando imprese, Università, Enti di Ricerca ed Associazioni, favorendone la COLLABORAZIONE promovuendo progetti ed iniziative di RICERCA E INNOVAZIONE. - L'essere soggetto di RIFERIMENTO della REGIONE per la definizione delle strategie di RICERCA e INNOVAZIONE nel settore MANIFATTURIERO. - Il supportare allo sviluppo di una RETE EXTRAREGIONALE di Ricerca e Innovazione attraverso la partecipazione al CLUSTER NAZIONALE FABBRICA INTELLIGENTE – CFI e il collegamento con altre REGIONI EUROPEE nell’ambito delle strategie di SMART SPECIALIZATION.
