About Afri-Tanzania Volunteers for Change (AVC)
Afri-Tanzania Volunteers for Change (AVC) is a youth-led volunteer organisation designed to encourage and further community development in Tanzania by empowering youth through volunteer work. Our organisation works with volunteers from all over the world. The AVC Volunteer Center supports disadvantaged communities by bringing their stories and experiences to the attention of the public, decision-makers and stakeholders. AVC was founded by a group of young men and women eager to uplift themselves from unemployment and poverty and to make positive changes within their communities. AVC empowers children and youth through education and volunteer work which is designed to mitigate poverty in Tanzania. We run workshops, seminars, short-term and long-term volunteer programs, all of which are dedicated to helping youth find and reach their full potential.
