Africa Institute of Medical Sciences & Technology (AIMST), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation registered in Georgia and Ghana as a company limited by statute as a Non Governmental Organization. AIMST is striving to promote health best practices and fight diseases through: - Constructing/establishing postsecondary institutions that will train medical assistants, laboratory technicians, nurse / midwives, and dental & optometry technicians to work in hospitals as well as do field work. Building a medical school and/or a teaching and research hospital. - Providing services to reduce infant mortality and improve maternal health, and find solutions to HIV/AIDS and malaria. - Building schools and recreational facilities for the health workers and their families. - Being involved in the overall economic empowerment and improvement of quality of life for West Africa residents Extending the project to other rural areas in Ghana and Sub-Saharan Africa. - Providing job and residential opportunities to medical personnel in order to reduce brain drain from rural areas in West Africa.
