About Africa Power Ventures
Africa Power Ventures (APV) is a boutique energy consultancy based in South Africa and Mauritius and working across sub Sharan Africa. APV believes that its experience, skills and passion have a positive impact on the future of power in Africa in two ways: firstly by helping to create sustainable and viable power markets and secondly by supporting the development of power projects for generation and transmission. TRANSACTION & PROJECT DEVELOPMENT: We provide Transaction and Project Development Assistance to new generation and transmission projects from concept through to financial close, with a clear focus on driving commercial bankability. This includes PIM development, PPA negotiation & structuring, financial modelling, project management and other critical project functions. SMART DECISION MAKING TOOLS: Our work is facilitated by the development of agile and Smart Decision Making Tools – decisions made in the development of power markets have significant economic, financial and long term impacts. APV believes that these are best supported with tools that allow for informed, logical and calculated decision making processes.
