About Africa Trade Link and Expo (ATLE)
The mission of AFRICA TRADE LINK AND EXPO, INC. (ATLE) is to serve as a bridge that links individuals, enterprises (SMEs) and other organizations to economic opportunities, cultural exchanges as well as societal needs; thus creating sustainable communities through commercial partnerships and the gift economy. ATLE is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation and is not organized for private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for public charitable purposes. Such purposes for which this corporation is organized are exclusively for charitable, education and scientific purposed with the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. Our Vision is to create partnerships of mutual prosperity between America and Africa in the spirit of peace and friendship. The primary objectives for ATLE are to: To promote trade and economic development in America & Africa; To link Small & Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) in America and elsewhere to commercial opportunities in Africa, thus contributing to the vitality and growth of American based SMEs while also facilitating prosperity in Africa; To link international as well as domestic businesses and professionals to opportunities in America; To provide workshops and education to SMEs in the disciplines of doing business internationally; and in the basic best practices for running successful enterprises; To facilitate and coordinate the philanthropic community in America to provide resources in Africa to serve vital areas of environmental, societal and health needs; To establish an ongoing institutional framework for cultural exchange and friendship.
