About AfriCAN

AfriCAN is a membership based NGO working internationally on creating and supporting sustainable development through education. The organization consists of a board, a secretariat and a couple of committees filled with people, who share a love for Africa and development in general. These people are the base of AfriCAN and their ressources are used to create a strong organization, which is transparent to its members and companies. AfriCAN launched the development project, EduAfrica, in October 2012. It is a sponsor project, which aims to give young African students the opportunity and economic ressources to complete a furhter and higher education. It is intended to create better job opportunities and chances for economic stability with local anchorage. The project is based in the Northern part of Ghana, where AfriCAN cooperates with the youth organization Youth Opportunity Partnership Programme (YOPP). EduAfrica is founded on the idea that education creates people with capacities whose involvement in the local society can help a country out of poverty. With EduAfrica, we intends to give the students the opportunity to create a sustainable future for themselves and for their country. A future without the support of the Western world.
