About African Art & Cultural CCC Inc & Services

The African Arts & Cultural CCC Incorporated was founded on October 19, 2012, by Pulchérie Mboussi. Pulchérie was born in Cameroon, in the beautiful continent of Africa. From the time she immigrated to Canada in the mid-1980s, she has earned a strong reputation as a community leader and advocate of promoting and celebrating the rich and diverse culture of Africa and the Caribbean. Pulchérie's life-long commitment as an Ambassador of African and Caribbean culture continued when she moved to Victoria BC in 2010. Our Black-Let, Black-Serving, and Black-oriented society is an art & Cultural organization whose main mandate is to advance awareness and understanding of the richness and diversity of African music, culture and traditions through the promotion of a broad range of cultural, educational, and artistic activities, events, and programs. AACCCS’s artistic vision is to raise awareness on the rich musical aspect from African descent communities and, to encourage local African musicians to participate in enriching the diverse arts and cultural scene that is found in this beautiful British Columbia through live music shows, visual arts displays, and festivals. AACCCS also aims to strengthen the Black community's resilience. Our goals: To encourage and to promote the participation of people of African descent in the building of British Columbia through artistic, cultural, educational, social networking, and other related activities To support projects that increase the scope and impact of activities that promote the development of Black Communities in British Columbia. To maintain a community hub for people of African Descent by creative diversity, cultural inclusion, and cultural appreciation in our community and province.
