About African Grill and Bar
AFRICAN GRILL AND BAR LLC(AGB) is the first all African kitchen with two cozy dining areas and two hundred dining capacity, dependable catering services for all events, an event room to rent for all parties, delivery service, and one of eight restaurants selected to offer catering services at the Denver Botanic Garden in Colorado. AGB is the only restaurant that serves all the African continent cuisine from West Africa, East Africa, North Africa, South Africa, and Central Africa in the United States AGB Lakewood, CO was established out of several years of experience in African Restaurant businesses by Sylvester and Theodora Osei-Fordwuo. As a couple, they migrated from Ghana, West Africa, with much insight and knowledge in African cooking to establish their first restaurant in Aurora, Colorado-2004. Sylvester came from a family of twelve, was exposed to cooking at a tender age by his mother and six sisters. He started pounding "fufu," one of the leading traditional foods in Ghana, before his teenage years. Sylvester grew up working with a friend's restaurant in Ghana. Before coming to the state, he was an accountant and auditor. In his first year in the U.S.A, Sylvester became homeless and could only afford and survive on juices three times a day. Later, he became a manager at 7-eleven stores from 2001 to 2004. Finally, he founded African Grill and Bar with Theodora, his wife. On the other hand, Theodora is the first daughter among five siblings and started cooking at the age of seven. She grew up in both Ghana and Nigeria and was exposed to both countries cooking. Her interest in African cooking grew beyond these two countries to all African countries. Before migrating to the state, she was a business administrator, and cooking was her hobby. Now, she is using her God-given talent to cook and supervise all African countries cooking in African Grill and bar since 2004 With much help from their three children Nana, Maame, & Oheneba Osei-Fordwuo
