About Afrifocus Securities
Afrifocus has been a stockbroker member of the JSE since 2000, servicing institutional and private clients. We administer approximately 7000 accounts and have offices in Sandton and Durban. We produce independent research and execute JSE trades for institutions in the securities unit. Afrifocus has partnered with CM – CIC, a large European research house with offices in London, Paris & New York. This worldwide network enables us to offer local research grounded with global knowledge. The Personal Wealth unit has a team of portfolio managers led by a Chief Investment Officer. The investment team is supported by independent in-house research. We also have a competitively priced online trading platform. Afrifocus Wealth Management will focus on distributing unit trusts and collective investment schemes that are listed on the investment platforms of large investment houses. Our first partner to approve us as a distributor of their investment products is on the Allan Gray platform. What we liked about this platform is that only the best-of-breed unit trusts are allowed, and that their screening process protects you from the poor performing asset managers. We see Wealth Management as a natural extension of what we do. Now you can have both your stockbroking account as well as your unit trust portfolio under the Afrifocus umbrella. It makes your life easier in that you can continue dealing on both portfolios with one individual, namely your Afrifocus Portfolio Manager.
