About Afro Puffs and Ponytails

Afro Puffs and Ponytails is a not for profit organization that provides services and support to agencies whose focus is African American and teen girls. We seek to provide a continuum of services that will prepare these agencies to serve this population effectively. Our mission is to empower African American and teen girls to their fullest potential, leading them to understand the importance of caring for the mind, body and spirit. We do so by building collaborations, networks, workshops and trainings opportunities to agencies that serve this population. Afro Puffs and Ponytails participates in community events and other activities centered on issues that conform to today’s challenges of African American and teenage girls. We have initiated the formation of partnerships that affect the previous mentioned populations along with providing in-kind services to agencies serving our communities.
