Afterbook is a digital platform where people can tell the life stories of and build a legacy to loved ones. Or indeed ones own life stories. These stories may then be shared with and the profile contributed to by loved ones if the curator has chosen to share. Afterbook's founder Jessica Dornan Lynas lost her mother to pancreatic cancer when she was 19. Jessica has yearned for a way since then to record the stories of her life from the dash between her dates. She founded Afterbook with a goal of allowing everyone, the world over, to tell the stories of a life, from the dash between their dates. This form of creative digital therapy can be so cathartic for life and for grief.
