About AGSB
The story of AUS began in 1963, with the creation of the American College of Switzerland (ACS), whose academic body had the vision of combining both the effectiveness of American graduate education with the Swiss work ethic. Building upon this vision, four of the ACS teachers created the American Graduate School of Business (AGSB) in 1991, which flourished into one of the leading international business schools in Switzerland. To accommodate its growth, AGSB moved from its initial location at the Hotel Excelsior in Montreux in 1991 to La Tour-de-Peilz and finally to its present-day larger campus, still in La Tour-de-Peilz, which can now welcome 400 students. The institution currently operates as the American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland (AUS), chartered under Swiss law and recognized by the Department of Education by the Canton of Vaud as an Institute of Higher Education. Presently, the AUS campus is in La Tour-de-Peilz on the shores of beautiful Lake Geneva between picturesque Montreux and Vevey – the home of global corporation Nestlé. AUS offers its students Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Business Administration along with several specializations that help them acquire fundamental business knowledge and develop essential skills needed to pursue their dream careers in the 21st century.
