Inspired by the popular egg sponge cakes originating from Tamsui (Danshui), Taiwan, Chef Jim has adapted the traditional recipe and put a local twist on it. The flavours that were first introduced in Singapore comprise Original and Cheese, the latter of which comes with a blend of cheese that enlivens the flavour. The Grade AA high-quality, locally produced eggs are procured from Singapore’s N&N farm, which helps to ensure that every egg remains fresh for the baking of the cakes. The cakes at Ah Mah are a healthier choice as they are made purely with milk, high quality eggs and flour. No water, preservative or colouring is added. Made with natural ingredients and baked fresh daily, our selection of soft and fluffy sponge cakes has since expanded to include a myriad of flavours including Original, Cheese, Chocolate and other seasonal renditions, as well as to offer different well-loved baked goods such as Blanket Rolls, Prosperity Huat Kueh, Christmas Log Cakes, Cotton Cheesecakes, Basque Burnt Cheesecakes and more. Ah Mah Homemade Cake has soared quickly in popularity since its official launch in Singapore on 14 July 2017.
