AHAS was founded in the aftermath of the 2023 Maui fires by a multiracial team of artists, educators, cultural workers, and health providers who recognized the need for long-term healing and resilience. We strengthen communities through programs and partnerships at the intersection of arts, health, and spirit, with a focus on evaluation, prevention, and culturally responsive approaches to care.
