Ahascragh Distillery is Ireland’s first energised zero-emissions distillery, built within a restored nineteenth-century mill. The distillery produces an array of Irish whiskey and gin styles, featuring three distinguished brands available to consumers: Clan Colla Irish Whiskey, UAIS Irish Whiskey, and Xin Gin. Beyond crafting exceptional spirits, Ahascragh Distillery offers a comprehensive visitor experience. This encompasses a cutting-edge visitor centre, versatile hospitality event spaces, a curated retail shop, and a charming café. The combined operations of the distillery and visitor centre are not only creating 15 direct job opportunities but also fostering an additional 60–70 indirect roles for suppliers, farmers, logistics providers, and various local and national businesses. The vision for Ahascragh Distillery is not only to create exceptional spirits but also to offer an unparalleled visitor experience, contributing significantly to tourism in the region. Gareth and Michelle McAllister, the founders, express their enthusiasm, stating, “We have a unique story and a unique experience for the consumer.
