In 1944, Richard L. Ahearn Sr. founded Seaboard Weatherproofing, which quickly earned the reputation as one of the top-rated weatherproofing companies in the Northeast. Richard L. Ahearn Jr. joined the firm in 1949 upon the death of his father in order to preserve and continue his legacy. To satisfy a growing client demand for general construction services, Richard L. Ahearn Jr. and his partner, Jed S. Holtzman, founded Ahearn Holtzman Inc. in 1960. The company soon established itself as a premier contractor in the New York Metropolitan area, serving Fortune 500 companies throughout the region. In 1984, Richard J. Ahearn took over Ahearn Holtzman Inc. and his brother, Michael Y. Ahearn, assumed a leadership role in Seaboard Weatherproofing. The two utilized the complimentary synergy between the family-owned companies, thus providing the highest quality of service to their combined clientele. Together, Ahearn Holtzman and Seaboard Weatherproofing expanded the company’s service territory, adding locations in New England, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and the Mid-Atlantic states. Today, Ahearn Holtzman serves a multitude of industries, with a specialization in the ever-changing telecommunications industry, and provides optimal solutions to complex and diverse projects to meet the interior and exterior facility needs of clients.
