About AIChE NUS
The National University of Singapore Student Chapter - American Institute of Chemical Engineers (NUS-AIChE), was officially formed in September 2014 and is recognized as an International Student Chapter of AIChE. As the first AIChE Student Chapter in Singapore, NUS-AIChE aims to build a strong community of chemical engineers in Singapore to contribute to the world. We achieve our vision by enriching student’s knowledge and increasing their initiative to solve industry related challenges. The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is a non-profit professional institution established in 1908, with the purpose of distinguishing chemical engineers as a profession independent from chemists and mechanical engineers. Today, AIChE is the focal point of providing professional growth opportunities for chemical engineers through tailored academic programs, conferences, its wide database of educational resources; as well as regular newsletters written by industry and academic experts to keep chemical engineers abreast of the exciting frontiers in the field.
