AIDGLOBAL - Acção e Integração para o Desenvolvimento Global (Action and Integration for Global Development) is a non-profit non-governmental development organization based in Moscavide, Lisbon, which is characterized by being an open and dynamic space, bringing together different resources and means from the combined efforts of natural persons, individuals and public and private institutions. On February the 24th, 2006, the Portuguese Government, through Camões - Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua, I.P., Ministry of Foreign Affairs, recognized it as a Non-Governmental Organization for Development. Vision Improve Literacy, Education and Inclusion levels, essential for a Citizenship that is intended to be global and promoter of a more just, equitable and sustainable world. Mission Act, Include and Develop through Education, promoting a Global Citizenship and change for a sustainable world. Focus Area Development Education and Global Citizenship & Cooperation for Development Impact of Our 19 Years of Work: In Mozambique: We have trained 917 teachers in promoting reading, positively impacting over 30,000 students. We distributed 70,000 donated books and equipped 29 school libraries, benefiting more than 68,000 students. Additionally, we established six Community Preschools, providing access to early childhood education for 824 preschool-aged children. In Portugal: We raised awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Human Rights, and other Global Citizenship topics among 11,000 children and young people from 100 schools. Moreover, we trained 1,000 educators to promote Global Citizenship themes and encourage youth participation.
