Ailin Richards is a sustainable, socially conscious luxury jewelry brand founded by San Francisco Bay Area designer Ailin Richards. Ailin attended the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad , California, graduating with certifications in jewelry design and technology, gemology, and goldsmithing in 2011. After graduating from GIA, Ailin spent spent several years honing her business skills, sourcing sustainable and socially conscious materials, and developing her unique design aesthetic before launching her eponymously named line in 2015. Ailin is inspired by the natural beauty and unique nature of raw gemstones as well as the flowing organic lines found in nature. The result is stunning ribbons of sleek polished gold which appear to flow organically around raw, fine gemstones. Each piece is handcrafted with the finest attention to detail by master goldsmiths in San Francisco, CA using both centuries old and modern, proprietary goldsmithing techniques. Sustainability, social awareness, and philanthropy are the heart of the Ailin Richards brand. Ailin exclusively utilizes 18kt fair mined yellow gold, 18kt recycled white gold, reclaimed white diamonds, and artisan mined, child-labor-free raw gemstones in her designs. Ailin's mission is to beautify and uplift the world through both fine design and by giving back; as such, a portion of profits benefit children in developing countries through clean water, education and anti human trafficking efforts.
