Formerly Alliant Credit Union, AIM Credit Union (ACU) is powered by you because it was developed by the employees of our utility company in 1933. They listened to the financial needs of their co-workers and chartered the Credit Union to answer those needs. Depositors were members/owners of ACU. AIM Credit Union is unique. It is unique because we are what’s called a “Closed-Field of Membership Credit Union”. This means not just anyone can join…but that’s also what makes us special and our rates event BETTER! Either you or a family member has to have worked or volunteered (either currently or previously) at one of the select companies that can be found at www.aimcreditunion.com. Individuals can open a savings account at AIM Credit Union with as little as $5. After that, there are no annual fees or maintenance fees to keep your account open. You can join AIM Credit Union as early as your first day at any of the listed companies or any time afterward. And, once you’re a member, you’re always a member regardless of where you live or work!
