The Apparel and Interior Merchandising Organization (AIMO) is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community of passionate students with a common enthusiasm for fashion, interiors, and creativity. Our mission is to provide a supportive and inclusive platform where students can explore, express, and celebrate their unique sense of style while embracing diversity and innovation within the fashion industry. Students receive the opportunity to attend the fashion internship and travel to the Atlanta Apparel Market, one of the largest wholesale markets in the U.S., as It holds 14 floors of vendors from all categories. AIMO hosts annual runway fashion shows at ECU, featuring upcycled, thrifted, and vintage curated fashion in partnership with nonprofit second-hand fashion organizations such as Sustain ECU and My Sister’s Closet. The show features student designers' work, emphasizing utilizing secondhand pieces. Club members volunteer at second-hand stores to promote sustainability by reducing fashion waste and supporting eco-friendly practices. Through engaging events, we aim to cultivate a dynamic environment that encourages learning, skill development, and networking opportunities.
