About AITF - Automotive Industry Transformation Fund
The AITF was established as a collective Equity Equivalent Investment Programme (EEIP) to support competitive investment for multinationals, by working with the sector, in the interest to solve equity challenges, through large-scale black entrepreneurial development. The AITF's mandate is to support the SA automotive industry, by facilitating and accelerating development finance, through the identification of sustainable projects eligible for funding. Working alongside seven multinational automotive manufacturers in South Africa (“Founding OEMs”), the AITF’s role is to provide support for the long term, helping qualifying SME’s to become integral in the SA automotive supply chain.
