Our crews are continually trained and drilled on the latest air ambulance procedures. In addition, Aitheras only allows pilots with captain status to fly. With two captains at the control panels, there is qualified backup should the unexpected occur. And, we utilize our own in-house maintenance department, thus ensuring our aircraft are always maintained to a level that meets or exceeds governmental standards. It’s also worth noting that we are one of only a few fixed-wing operators helping the FAA set new standards for safety in the industry through the new Safety Management System (SMS) program.
