About AJ Nitz Images

It is the subject that is special and my mission is capturing that beauty in a simple yet sophisticated way. I have not been a photographer all my life. Sure I had a camera to capture my holiday snaps. I used my smartphone to capture every beautiful sunset that I saw and my kids growing up. But photography was far from my mind. It all changed on 3 February 2016 .... when a cycling accident put me flat on my back for three months while I recovered by fractured vertebrae. I was told to take up a new hobby as I was not going to return to my bike anytime soon. As the months of rehabilitation took its toll, it was learning how to use my new camera that provided me with the motivation to get out of the wheelchair. Everybody has a camera and is called a photographer. They pull it out of their pockets, their bags or they keep its attached to their hand everyday to take pictures or answer phone calls - the smartphone. I scan the environment to capture subjects honestly yet carefully using using my skills and technology, like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, to do it as creatively as possible.
