MISSION STATEMENT: AJW Consulting is committed to advancing and supporting democracy, rights, and good governance efforts in the Pacific Islands. Through inclusive, locally-led advocacy and dialogue, we strengthen civil society, build leadership capacity, and promote private sector and economic development while amplifying the voices of rising women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. Our mission is to help organizations and advocates fill critical gaps left by the declining US government funding and serve as a trusted resource on democratic developments across the Pacific Islands and beyond. WORLDWIDE EXPERIENCE: Founded in 2022, AJW Consulting was created to support democracy advocates, human rights protectors, economic empowerment initiatives, and mission-driven organizations through expert program and donor management, business development and proposal writing, and thought leadership. AJW Consulting advises civil society groups, private sector actors, political leaders, and civil servants in emerging democracies—equipping them with the tools, training, and strategies they need to succeed, emphasizing championing women’s political leadership at every level of governance and in communities. At its helm is Amie J. Woeber, an internationally recognized expert in democracy and good governance with three decades of global experience spanning 28 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and North America. Amie has implemented programs funded by the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the National Endowment for Democracy, and Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Known for her results-driven leadership, she specializes in building local capacity and empowering change makers at every level.
