Akamai's Experience The team at Akamai Practice Management has been providing software and reimbursement management services to Hawaii's physicians for over thirty years. We provide services to hundreds of local practices on Oahu, Maui, the Big Island and Kauai. There are two principal ways we support our clients: Akamai PM Software for Independent Practices The most efficient billing, scheduling and practice management system in Hawaii. For clients who manage their own receivables, we provide our state-of-the-art practice management software; Akamai PM. Akamai PM is tailored for the Hawaii billing environment and we believe it is the most full-featured billing system available in Hawaii. Akamai PM has been in use since 2005 and is installed in over 175 practices representing nearly every specialty. Full Service Billing For clients who do not manage their own "revenue cycle", we provide full-service, outsourced billing. This comprehensive service shifts daily responsibilities of patient registration, charge entry, claims filing, receipt posting, banking, statement generation, claims follow-up and answering patient calls from the clinic to us. We are exceedingly proud that, in an anonymous survey, over 98% of our clients indicate they refer us to their colleagues.
