Die Akbank AG ist das Nachfolgeinstitut der Akbank T.A.S. Niederlassung Deutschland, der früheren deutschen Filiale der Akbank T.A.S. mit Hauptsitz in Istanbul, eine der führenden Banken in der Türkei. Die Filiale erhielt im Jahr 1998 von der Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht ("BaFin") eine Banklizenz. Bis einschließlich 2005 hat die Bank Dienstleistungen sowohl für Privatkunden als auch für Firmenkunden erbracht. Seit 2006 hat die Bank ihren Focus vollständig auf das Geschäft mit großen Firmenkunden gerichtet. Einhergehend mit dieser Neuausrichtung wurde die ehemalige Filiale der Akbank T.A.S. in eine deutsche Aktiengesellschaft ("AG") umgewandelt. Seit dem 31. Im Juni 2012 wurde die Akbank N.V. , Amsterdam auf die Akbank AG verschmolzen. English version: Akbank AG is the successor institution to Akbank T.A.S. Niederlassung Deutschland, the former German branch of Akbank T.A.S., which is headquartered in Istanbul and is one of Turkey's leading banks. The branch was granted a banking licence by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) in 1998. Since 2006, however, it has focused entirely on business with large corporate customers. In line with this realignment, the former Akbank T.A.S. branch was converted into a German stock corporation ('AG'). Since 31 May 2007, Akbank N.V. in Amsterdam has held the bank's shares. Akbank N.V. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Akbank T.A.S. In June 2012, Akbank N.V. was merged into Akbank AG. Akbank AG's core business, based in Eschborn, consists of corporate banking and trade finance (mainly between Turkey and the EU region). Various investors (including institutional investors, companies and municipalities) also place their time deposits with our bank.
