About AKCENT International House Prague
AKCENT International House Prague has been a cutting-edge language school since 1990 (formerly AKCENT Language School). Since then, we have grown to become one of the largest private language schools in the Czech Republic employing over 120 people. Our school offers courses of English and other languages both to adult and young learners, and to B2C or B2B customers. All our teachers are qualified and almost 50 % of our teachers of English possess the highest internationally recognized qualification for EFL teachers - The Cambridge DELTA. Quality has always been our main focus, so in 2000, the school became affiliated with the International House World Organisation, and in 2008 our school became a full member of EAQUALS (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality Language Services). Our school is also a founding member of the Czech association of Language Schools (formerly the Association of Certified Language Schools). There is no other school in the Czech Republic with such combination of memberships. Furthermore, AKCENT IH Prague is an authorized platinum Cambridge Exams centre as well as an authorised exam centre for Goethe Institut exams, being the only school in the country to offer both of these internationally recognized English and German exams. Our school is also a major teacher training centre, offering CELTA and DELTA training to teachers and teacher trainees from all over the world. We are the only authorised TTC in the country to offer all modules of The Cambridge DELTA.
